Favorite place I stayed on the entire ALCAN and road trip. Spent a rest day just sitting in the Inn working on my laptop (very fast wifi) and enjoying the view.

First class accommodation, setting and staff! We arrived late and skipped dinner - what a mistake! Had we known, we would have skipped Whitehorse and arrived earlier. The meal that the staff cooked and served looked amazing and smelt great. Sam took time to show us around the lodge and also helped with our camera settings for the Northern lights. We used the honesty bar and sat on the rear deck in the evening sun overlooking the lake - magical. Many of the guests had travelled from far (Germany, Australia & China to name a few). The atmosphere at the lodge was so relaxing and friendly and we all shared stories and waited for the lights to appear. I listened to the loons on the lake and watched the Northern Lights on the rear deck until 2am - an experience that I will not forget. This was the highlight of our Alaska/Yukon trip - next time (there will be a next time) - we will stay 2 nights minimum. We left early and was assisted by a young chap from Osaka who was preparing what looked like a delicious breakfast.

If you're into Whitehorse for a couple of days, this is the place to stay. Right on a lake and if you get one of the private cabins, you can share the space with your family and friends. The cabins are completly self sufficient. You can order the set course dinner -- really delicious and gourmet quality with locally sourced ingredients. The buffet breakfast is good too. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

What an amazing day, my partner, and I had with our guide for a snowmobile tour. Our guide was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He made the whole experience over the top for us. We highly recommend booking the snowmobile tour and staying here! We will definitely be back!

An absolutely fabulous getaway spot with fun activities and great Aurora viewing. We have stayed both in the main lodge and Kodiak suite, and each offers a unique experience. The main lodge is simultaneously grand and cozy, with friendly staff, a self-serve selection of hot drinks, and three delicious meals a day (extra charge). Common areas to sit and chat, read, play pool or soak in the hot tub are great for meeting other guests from around the world. Kodiak suite, on the other hand, is a few houses down, quiet, comfortable and has windows on three sides - you can view the lights from your bedroom! It’s kitchen makes it easy to eat on a budget - just stop at Superstore on your way out of town. Carson, the owner, is a fantastic host and chef (he was subbing when we ate at the lodge). The other staff are kind, helpful and interesting to chat with, too.

It was an incredibly amazing experience at the Sun Cottage! Inside was very clean and warm enough, It was really helpful that seasonings and dishes were provided. Although it was a 10-15 minute drive from the main entrance, it was absolutely worth it. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch the Aurora this time, but we were treated to a beautiful sunrise by the lake. The dinner was excellent, and we had a fantastic time playing in the snow by the lake. We’re definitely coming back soon and can’t wait for our next visit!

Amazing comfy rooms, wonderful and accommodating staff, and great food. Breakfast lunch dinner at the lodge was great. 3 course dinner every night. We did the snowmobile and ice fishing tour with them and it was so fun. They also let you borrow their winter gear (plentiful in diff sizes) which you will need if you are here in the winter. We also had fantastic views of the northern lights. They can arrange shuttles for you into town. Highly recommend

My fiancee and I stayed here in late October 2024 as part of the Northern Lights Autumn Package offered by the inn. Everything about our stay here was fantastic! The staff was friendly and provided us with very good service. The meals, while slightly small in portion size in my opinion, were all incredibly delicious. The meals are served at a large community table with all the other guests, which we liked, as it enabled us to talk with fellow guests who were visiting from all over the world. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful setting of the inn away from the city and the back porch which overlooks Lake Marsh. We stayed in the Executive Jacuzzi Suite, which is alone on the second level of the inn, and therefore felt more private and quiet to us. While our bathroom was an average size, the room itself was quite spacious and also included a small private deck that looked out on the front of the property in the north direction. Overall, we very much enjoyed our time here and would be happy to stay here again if we ever visited the Whitehorse area in the future. We would certainly recommend this inn to everyone.
